Navigate your bereavement, grief, and loss with compassionate support, while also exploring your pre-bereavement counselling journey in a space that fosters understanding and healing through grief counselling.
At Lavender Path, I specialise in bereavement and grief counselling, including pre-bereavement and anticipatory grief support and I can also support you as you go through other life losses like redundancy or pet loss.
I offer tailored, compassionate care for individuals navigating loss or preparing for it.
My experience is both personal and professional. Having faced several significant bereavements myself, I bring deep empathy and understanding to my work. Professionally, I have supported many clients through both pre-bereavement and bereavement, always with a thoughtful, individualised approach.
I am trained in a variety of counselling modalities, a trauma-informed practitioner, a trained hypnotherapist and certified in online and telephone counselling. I also hold specialist training in pre-bereavement and loss, allowing me to meet clients wherever they are in their journey.
As an autistic-informed practitioner, I strive to make counselling accessible and inclusive. I have strong interpersonal skills and connect well with people from all walks of life, respecting each person's unique personality and needs.
I also provide specialist pet‑bereavement counselling. I truly understand how profound the loss of a pet can be and I can help you work through your feelings at your own pace.
Whether you are coping with the complex emotions of grief - loneliness, anxiety, anger, or depression - or facing the anticipatory grief of a loved one's decline, I am here to support you.
Grief is deeply personal, and no two journeys are the same. You do not have to walk this path alone. I am committed to being by your side, offering empathetic guidance at a pace that feels right for you. Your healing is my priority.
I can support you to find your path through grief, loss and pre-bereavement - with empathy, warmth, and care.

I understand that discussing bereavement or anticipatory grief can feel overwhelming. That’s why I create a soothing, supportive environment that encourages personal reflection and emotional healing.
Whatever your journey, you do not have to walk it alone. I offer gentle, compassionate counselling to support you through life’s hardest moments.
Trauma-informed counselling recognizes how past hurts can influence grief, providing compassionate support as you navigate these emotions without pushing you beyond your comfort zone. I practice in a trauma-informed manner by establishing a calm, steady, and supportive environment for grief counselling and pre-bereavement counselling, allowing you to express your feelings at your own pace. Together, we prioritize safety, choice, and understanding your emotional responses with compassion and respect.
Autism-informed counselling offers compassionate support by acknowledging the sensory, communication, and emotional differences of autistic individuals, ensuring you feel safe during sessions. I provide grief counselling and pre-bereavement counselling in an autism-informed manner, customizing each session to align with your preferences and pace. You are encouraged to communicate in the way that feels most natural to you, and together we delve into your experiences with understanding, acceptance, and clarity. This tailored approach is particularly advantageous for those navigating grief, as it respects and addresses your unique needs.
Pet bereavement counselling acknowledges the deep bond we have with our animals and the grief that their loss brings. It offers a space for all the emotions you may feel during this challenging time. I provide compassionate support in a calm and understanding environment, allowing you to discuss your loss at your own pace. Each session is crafted to facilitate your grief counselling journey, helping you express your feelings, cherish the memories of your beloved companion, and navigate life without them. Additionally, if you are preparing for the loss of a pet, I also offer pre-bereavement counselling to assist you in coping with the impending grief.
At Lavender Path, I understand the significance of accessibility, which is why I provide online counselling. This flexible format enables you to receive compassionate support from the comfort of your own home. Our online sessions deliver the same quality of care as in-person sessions and are customized to address your unique needs, whether you are in need of grief counselling or pre-bereavement counselling.
Our counselling sessions are designed to be a safe haven for you to express your thoughts and emotions. For some clients, this compassionate support is effectively provided through telephone sessions. These telephone sessions allow you to connect with me from the comfort of your own home, ensuring that our grief counselling and pre-bereavement counselling services are always secure, private, and scheduled at a time that is convenient for you.
As an integrative counsellor, I provide compassionate support by drawing upon a variety of modalities, including Humanistic Therapy (Person-Centred) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This diverse training enables me to offer effective grief counselling and pre-bereavement counselling tailored to individual needs. My flexible approach ensures that I can adjust the methods used during sessions, allowing for a responsive and fluid experience that addresses each client's specific circumstances.
Person-centred counselling is grounded in the belief that the client is the expert in their own lives and feelings. I provide compassionate support through a person-centred approach, offering tailored individual grief counselling sessions designed to assist you during your bereavement or pre-bereavement counselling. Each session creates a safe and nurturing environment for you to express your feelings and experiences without judgment.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, often known as CBT, is based on the understanding that individuals learn to behave in specific ways and can modify their behaviors according to various situations and individuals, as their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. This form of talking therapy provides compassionate support and can be effectively combined with other counselling modalities, particularly in the realm of grief counselling, to assist those dealing with loss and negative thoughts. Furthermore, it is valuable in pre-bereavement counselling, offering individuals the tools to prepare for the emotional challenges that accompany grief.

Finally, please contact me directly on 07365 047912 or charlotte@lavenderpath.co.uk to find out about myself, Lavender Path and how I can work with you as you navigate grief or pre-bereavement and life.
I offer free 20-minute introductory calls to enable you to ask any questions you may have and for us to chat through my services as it is incredibly important that you as the client feels comfortable working with me and to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
Each session will last for 50 minutes. There is the option to have longer sessions, like an hour and a half and this is can be discussed further.
This is a personal choice but when deciding the type of session you would prefer the most important aspect is that you as the client feels safe and comfortable during our sessions.
Counselling is like grief in that there is no set timeframe and it is personal to every single person. I work with the client so that the number of sessions is suited to their requirements and I can work with clients over the age of 18 years of age on a short or long-term basis. There is no need to commit to an amount of sessions as your counselling journey will allow for changes and our sessions are tailored for what you as the client needs.
Lavender has always been a flower that connects me with lost family members and its calming properties and fragrance enforces the type of space I want to create for my clients. Somewhere that is calming and relaxing whilst being supportive. Path was a natural fit as counselling to me is about being alongside a client as they are on their journey of grief or pre-bereavement and life.
